Rabbi Adam M. Morris
As of July 2003, we have been blessed with the leadership of Rabbi, Adam M. Morris. Rabbi Morris came to Micah by way of Atlanta, Georgia, where he was the Principal of Judaic Studies at The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy, a K-8th grade religious school. Prior to his educational stint, Rabbi Morris (known affectionately as "Rabbi Mo") served as the Senior Rabbi at Beit Shalom Synagogue in Adelaide, Australia and as Associate Rabbi at Temple Beth El in Charlotte, North Carolina. He and his wife, Renee, have a daughter, Addison, and a son, Dakota.
Rabbi Morris relishes his congregational role: "For me, there is no more sacred task than to work with a community as they wrestle, just as Jacob wrestled with God, with ultimate matters of life and death, love and loss, growth and pain, faith and doubt. I hope that I will have the privilege of sharing in other people's lives - as they struggle to make sense and make peace with themselves - as children, as parents, as siblings, as Jews, and as human beings."
