Education at Temple Micah
Does Temple Micah Have A Religious School?
Yes! Our Temple Micah Religious School provides a warm and accepting environment for both Jewish and interfaith families. Our numbers are small, allowing for a wonderful student-teacher ratio. While learning objectives vary by grade level, from preschool through Bar/Bat Mitzvah, our overall goal is to convey a sense of Jewish identity and pride by going beyond the study of traditional cultural and holiday themes. We combine conventional teaching methods and discussions of the weekly Torah portions with role playing and visual and performing arts. Hebrew instruction is included.
We strive to strengthen the family unit, whatever its size, and affirm the Religious School as a critical element of the larger congregation. The School promotes interaction between young and older generations with family gatherings and holiday activities.
While we encourage Temple membership, we do not require it for participation in the Religious School. Recognizing the importance of Jewish education for all children, we accept both members and nonmembers in the Religious School. For fees and further information, please call the Temple office at (303) 388-4239.
